On May 23, 2016, Jamestown Officer Ryan Bourque was struck and killed by an impaired driver.

To honor Officer Bourque and all victims of impaired driving, the Jamestown Police Department created Officer Ryan Bourque Memorial patch magnets. The magnets will be displayed on the back of marked police cars throughout Rhode Island.
