YOUTH FORCE is a traffic safety and leadership program that is led The Rhode Island Police Chiefs' Association (RIPCA) and supported by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT), Office On Highway Safety. YOUTH FORCE is a year round RI high school program & it begins with an educational summer summit. Each high school that attends the summit creates and Action Plan for the upcoming school year, focused around traffic safety.

The mission of YOUTH FORCE is to provide Rhode Island youth and their adult advisors with the motivation, information, skills and support necessary to organize events and activities that support Traffic Safety efforts within their communities. Safety campaigns targeting distracted  driving, impaired driving, and speeding, as well as, alcohol and drug free prevention strategies are examples of planned topic areas to be covered.

YOUTH FORCE is a year round high school program. It begins with an educational summit. Over the course of the 3 and half day summit high school students from across Rhode Island will learn components of traffic safety with a focus on substance abuse prevention strategies and safe decision making skills. Students will have the opportunity to develop their innate leadership skills to keep themselves, their schools and their communities safe and strong. School and community teams will create action plans to take back to their schools and communities to implement over the course of the school year.

Your contribution big or small will allow YOUTH FORCE to continue engaging young people in traffic safety prevention; providing teens with leadership skills, and support needed for a healthy lifestyle. Your contribution today creates a ripple effect for tomorrow as Rhode Island teens become empowered to make positive changes in themselves, their peers, and their communities.
